1 Minute Fitness Challenge

Walt: 1 Minute Fitness Challenge

Here's my blog post from PE,

How would you rate your effort in today’s session, I say...

During the 1 minute challenge, I would rate my effort 100% high because the purpose of this is to get a base indication on where we are in terms of our Fitness Levels, in all areas.

In order to get more benefits out of the Fitness sessions, one thing you can do to be better for the next session is...

I can do 1 minute base fitness better by 1 min rest in between exercises.

The benefit of this is that once I know the Base Fitness I’m able to set goals for improvement by the end of the first part of the Fitness Studies Unit.

one thing that you have achieved today that you are proud of is that...

I achieved all 1 minute exercises and I am proud because the best thing about this is, you don’t need any equipment, just some space, a good attitude and a timer.

Resting Heart Rate:

15 x 4 = 60 beats per minute(bpm)

Hope you enjoyed today's blog post and you too can improve more benefits for the next session at PE!!!

Plans & Preparations for Akomanga Kaihanga Showcase

Walt: Plans & Preparations for Akomanga Kaihanga Showcase

On the first week back to school on Term 3, 9KMe spent their periods preparing for a project showcase on Thursday at 5PM.

The planning for our poster started out like this; Mathew started creating the results of project. We then spent quite a bit of time trying to figure out where our text should fit. Once we liked the design we got Dr Jannie to check on it. At this point we started our speeches and to say of what we were going to write about and the speech that would accompany the poster.

Here's the "digital" poster we've been working on....

One challenge we had run into (for what I was there for anyways) was how much time was actually spent on the draft and then the digital one. We had from Monday until Wednesday to complete it but we went a bit into Thursday.

Once I saw the end product, let me tell you, I was in shock. It looks so clean and organised and the colour palette is Fantastic looking! Also to mention our Team Project Photo was a fantastic idea.

Here's also the members of Team Island Skittles;
- Matthew
- Mary-Ruth
- Cherry Anne
- Leanah
- Paikea
- David (Me)

Hope you enjoyed the preview and presentation of our project poster!!!
