The Desert Kaupoi

Walt:The Desert Kaupoi

Image result for the desert kaupoiToday this week on Monday,we read a journal called The Desert Kaupoi to know about the war that happened in 1914.

I am being interested that this journal was about a young man named Tony and his full name is John Piuraki Tikao-Barrett.He even joined an army for the very first time and he was in 28th Maori Battalion.

So for this week,we discovered that joining the 28th Maori Battalion are for like the most of men who volunteered to join the Battalion,Tony had never joined the army before.

Then, the key idea in this text is the word sacrifice, then, the example of sacrifice is when after tony was shot in his left arm,McDonald sacrifice himself to stop the machine-gun post and then, another key idea in this text is bravery and how bravery is shown in this text below.

And by September 1942,he's finally back with D Company as the platoon commander,he was awarded the Military Cross for his own actions that day.Tony had recently died on May 29 1970.

And there you it again you guys, that's how we understand the story of how Tony joined in the 28th Maori Battalion.Thank you!!!!
